It was time to update our older Hydmech horizontal saw with a new model H14A. Thanks to the short remnant option, we no longer have to interrupt our flow by assigning someone to cut left-over bar ends. It’s all done in one efficient action. Our crew really likes the cleaner, quieter and more efficient H14A. We’re saving time and head space!
June 2022
Chiodo Heating and Air Conditioning installed the old Carrier unit many years ago and it was time for a new energy efficient Carrier 7.5-ton rooftop unit. Darco chose Carrier because it is one of our core customers. And we most likely machined some of its critical components! Thanks also to our neighbors, First Fleet, who let us take over their parking lot while the unit was hoisted to the roof.
Summer 2021
Jamie has said good-bye to gas. Darco’s first EV owner, he shows off his new 2021 Chevy Bolt EV as it charges. He says the acceleration is excellent and there is plenty of room to accommodate his 6’4” frame. He’s even been on some day trips and had no problem finding charging stations. He encourages potential EV owners to “give it a try”.

The second shift got creative and spread some holiday cheer by putting together these Christmas swags from found materials around the shop floor. Some scrap parts here, metal chips there, add some paint and a string of lights and you have one-of-a kind decorations.
July 2020
Yup and it’s owned by Rose. When she bought “Rosie’s Toy” 13 years ago it had been mostly restored. However she put her own stamp on the car by adding a 396 350-HP engine, replacing the bench seats with bucket seats, and making some cosmetic changes. She usually attends five major car shows each year but all were canceled this year due to Coronavirus. Meanwhile, she said local cruise-ins are going strong and are safe. Rose and friends plan to rejoin the circuit next year.
